During its creation, Bent's daughter faced life-threatening challenges in the NICU. He poured his emotions into the music, balancing studio time with hospital visits. Bent's dedication and passion are evident in his words: "I wanted every single note to count."
As for the future, Bent is ready to explore new opportunities. He plans to focus on his skills as a player, perform drum clinics, and continue session work. He emphasized his hunger for more, saying, "I wanna go harder now for my family."
Trivium has since recruited new drummers, including Alex Rüdinger and Greyson Nekrutman, to continue their musical journey. But the band's bassist, Paolo Gregoletto, highlighted the impact of Bent's departure, stating, "'The Sin And The Sentence' is maybe one of my favorite records we've done."
