She questioned the motives behind the takeover, suggesting it was driven by oil interests and Trump's ego.

Navarro highlighted how Trump's narrative shifted from fighting drugs to controlling Venezuela's oil industry. She criticized the idea of having U.S. figures like Pete Hegseth and Marco Rubio run the country. And this is the part most people miss: Navarro emphasized that María Corina Machado won the 2024 election, and the legitimate government should be installed.
"The Venezuelan people showed incredible courage by voting against the dictator in 2024," Navarro stated. "They deserve a free country, not a U.S. protectorate."
