EF Pro Cycling's team bikes are getting a fresh coat of paint, thanks to Cannondale's unveiling of its 'fastest fleet ever'. The new SuperSix EVO and SuperSlice time trial bike are set to revolutionize the 2026 racing season. But here's where it gets controversial... While many bike brands opt for mass-market appeal, Cannondale has taken a different approach with the SuperSix EVO. This bike is designed with the specific needs of EF Pro Cycling's riders in mind, including the formidable Ben Healy, who dominated the 2025 Tour de France with his long-distance attacks and yellow jersey stint. The SuperSix EVO's geometry has been made more aggressive, with a lower stack, to accommodate Healy's aggressive riding style. However, the changes are subtle, and you might need a keen eye to spot the differences between the new SuperSix and its predecessor. Cannondale has focused on reducing the bike's weight, with the EF Pro Cycling's top-spec SuperSix EVO Lab71 frame weighing just 728g in a 56cm size. This reduction in weight, along with other changes, results in a claimed 148g weight savings compared to the fourth-generation SuperSix. The frame is adorned with a snazzy new paint job, featuring EF's unmistakable pink and more subtle black color scheme. The new SuperSlice time trial bike is also part of Cannondale's 'fastest fleet ever'. It's been in development for a while, with an unreleased version spotted at the 2021 Tour de France. The new SuperSlice is said to save 10 watts at 50kph over Cannondale's previous time trial bike, thanks to its deeper tube profiles and 700x30c Vittoria Corsa Pro Speed tyres. But this isn't without trade-offs; the weight has increased by 60g. EF Pro Cycling's SuperSlice is equipped with a SRAM Red groupset, Vision wheels, a Fizik saddle, Vittoria Cora Pro tyres, and Wahoo Speedplay pedals. So, what do you think? Is Cannondale's focus on weight reduction and aerodynamics the way forward for race bikes? Or is there something to be said for a more traditional approach?
